E' incredibile come si sia parlato così poco di un album del genere, addirittura io stesso ne sono venuto a conoscenza pochi giorni fà (è incredibile come mi sia sfuggito un album con Mac Lethal e Vast Aire), ma l'ho già consumato dagli ascolti!
Sadistik è un Mc di Seattle appena ventiduenne, ma è lo stesso un veterano della scena freestyle underground, e con questo album dimostra di essere un artista a 360 gradi, spettacolare nella tecnica e nel flow, e, allo stesso tempo, liricista impressionante. Le produzioni sono tutte ad opera del talentuosissimo Emancipator (che già l'anno scorso aveva dimostrato di essere un grandissimo produttore con il suo album strumentale Soon It Will Be Cold Enough), che ci si presenta con delle batterie grezze in stile Anticon e con suoni puliti, spesso archi che sfociano in trsiti lamenti, dal sapore dark come l'atmosfera dell'intero disco.
Sadistik è una via di mezzo tra il miglior Eminem e Slug, grandissimo flow e tecnica, ma il vero punto di forza dell'album rimangono i bellissimi testi: dei viaggi incredibilmente poetici tra le paure e le incertezze del giovane rapper, che si dimostra essere una delle sorprese dell'anno.
Un disco maturo, triste e profondo, finora nella mia top 3 dell'anno: DA AVERE!

PS: La cover è davvero stupenda!
