Era parecchio tempo ke non prendevo sotto mano sto disco qui...Andavo per ricordi e non mi ricordavo praticamente nulla,se non ke in ogni caso mi fosse piaciuto già mesi e mesi fa...In questi giorni girando per la rete l'ho rivisto per caso,e l'ho dunque ripreso e datogli un paio di ascolti più approfonditi...Cosa mi son ricordato?Tutti i perchè questo disco mi avesse aperto in due...Chino XL si presenta come il classico mc da battaglia,rime taglienti e punchline ancora più efficaci,con incastri e rime sempre più complicati e d'effetto da lasciare di stucco l'ascoltatore ogni volta di più!Credo ke parlando di pura tecnica,il nostro non fatichi a stare praticamente a ridosso di quei grandissimi a noi noti...E il tutto è dovuto al fatto ke fosse anche completo,tant'è ke al fianco di pezzi come Freestyle Rhymes o Feelin Evil Again in cui la cattiveria e la grinta di Chino escono fuori (quant'è spettacolo la seconda strofa di Feelin Evil Again?),troviamo alternarsi pezzi più riflessivi e pieni di significato,quali What Am I e Rise,indubbiamente tra le mie preferite del disco...Visto il livello dell'mc,cosa può mancare a fare di quest'album un classico a tutti gli effetti?Purtroppo le basi...Già,il disco si alterna con basi decisamente buone ad altre deludenti,ke non rivalutano appieno la potenza di Chino al microfono,facendo svalutare un pelo il prodotto già di suo veramente valido...Da par mio ve lo consiglio,casomai non lo aveste già sentito,se siete amanti degli mc prettamente tecnici Chino fa al caso vostro,e di parecchio pure!
