Secondo disco di X-Raided, rapper originario del Texas ma stabilitosi a Sacramento fin da piccolo, arriva tre anni dpo l'uscita di Psycho Active, abum che fece discutere per le tematiche crude e violente e per il fatto che X-Raided nella cover si puntasse una calibro .38 alla tempia.
Premessa importantissima: nel '93 X-Raided, appartenente a una gang di Crips di Sacramento, è stato condannato in primo grado per omicidio e quindi quest'album è stato rappato completamente tramite il telefono del carcere: Non aspettatevi quindi una qualità audio da studio di registrazione Def Jam, almeno per quanto riguarda le strofe di X. Proprio questo fatto secondo me rende l'album particolarissimo, un prodotto grezzo e minimale, Bay Funk essenziale ma stupendo (tutte le tracce sono prodotte da Brotha Lynch Hung, leggenda della baia) e liriche violente ma conscious tanto che X-Raided, a livello di testi e tematiche, mi ricorda molto un altro caposaldo della California ossia Mr. "Watts Up" Kam.
In seguito X-Raided sfornerà altri lavori, pur essendo tuttora rinchiuso in un carcere californiano in attesa di uno sconto di pena.

In definitiva, questo disco è un classico della Bay Area che consacra definitivamente X-Raided come uno dei king di Sacramento.

Un back in the days per tornare ai suoni del 94,anno stupendo,con questo disco di non facile assimilazione,ma dallo spessore immenso a mio parere...Dopo più ascolti vi rimarrà in testa e capirete che i suoni in quegli anni non erano solo come quelli di Illmatic o Ready To Die...A voi...

Prima roba interessante uscita quest'anno, non è Thugged Out The Albulation o Godzilla ma comunque si fa ascoltare, Yukmouth è sempre lui e al mic se la cava benone.
East Oakland è hyphy, ma per fortuna è un caso isolato, per il resto è un album decisamente buono.
